Claim your independence.

I was recently refinancing my home mortgage. My future lender was requiring me to increase my home insurance coverage by nearly 30%; which would be an incremental cost of over $400 a year!  I shared this news with Mike and he immediately understood the situation and where the bank was mistaken. He promptly contacted the lender via email AND phone call and explained the rationale for why the current coverage level was adequate and that any increase would not make sense. I was pleasantly surprised when Mike’s explanation was able to get the bank to change their requirement and accept the current coverage, thereby saving us at least $400/year!  If it weren’t for Mike, we would be paying a higher insurance premium for the foreseeable future of owning this home. We are extremely grateful for his knowledge, sense of urgency, and willingness to go the extra mile.
