How to Work Remotely with Kids at Home

Regardless of your child’s age, working from home with kids or teens around can be challenging. The folks at Motherly shared their expert wisdom for how to effectively work remotely while taking care of kids at home.

For the moms and dads of babies, they suggest using voice to text software or typing on a phone instead of laptop – all much easier to use while holding a little one!

While most parents of toddlers have already nailed this tip, take advantage of those naps! Schedule meetings or phone calls during naptime when you know the house may be a little quieter.

School aged kids may also be home completing remote learning. Set up their own office space or allow them to work alongside you. Make the most of breaks and get outside to play!

No matter how old your child, take solace in knowing that you are not alone in trying to find the perfect balance. The parents at IBA are trying to figure this out with you! We are all in this together.
